  • Chronic kidney disease

    An overview of early recognition of CKD and use of the kidney failure risk equation, advances in treatment for early stages of CKD and counselling for patients with CKD.

  • Heart failure

    A focus on the "four pillars" of heart failure treatment, sodium–glucose cotransporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitors and their impact on care, and palliative care in heart failure.

  • Dermatology in skin of colour

    Covering presentations of common conditions in skin of colour and what not to miss, conditions that are more frequent in skin of colour and ways of keeping up to date and ensuring best practice.

  • Eczema

    An overview of eczema in the UK, covering the do’s and don’ts of emollient treatment; topical steroid use and withdrawal issues; how to avoid using antibiotics and the prevention of eczema flares.

  • Obsessive–compulsive disorder

    Considering the aetiology of obsessive–compulsive disorder, typical symptoms, principles of management, the efficacy of treatment options and the pros and cons of using selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors.

  • Testosterone deficiency

    A consideration of the incidence and aetiology of testosterone deficiency (TD), symptoms, and when and how to test. The session will also provide an overview of testosterone treatment and a review of recent guidelines on TD.
