Management of diabetic ketoacidosis
The management of diabetic ketoacidosis is aimed at (1,2,3)
- correction of dehydration
- correction of acidosis and reverse ketosis
- restoration of blood glucose to near normal levels
- monitor for complications of DKA and its treatment
- identify and treat any precipitating event
