Adult Still's disease responds to NSAIDS and corticosteroids
- however, the goal remains to limit the use of corticosteroids, mainly because of the side effects (1)
Early initiation of biologics is preferred over conventional treatment such as methotrexate.
There is an important role for early use of IL-1 and IL-6 blockade.
Treatment is monitored by serial measurement of ESR and ferritin.
