Axillary lymph nodes (posterior)
The posterior axillary lymph nodes:
- 6-9 nodes in this group
- position:
- medially within posterior axillary fold
- lie along route of subscapular vessels near to thoracodorsal nerve
- receive lymph from:
- posterior thoracic wall
- scapula
- distribute lymph to the central axillary nodes
