Alternate conducted and non-conducted atrial beats

In this form of second degree heart block there is a cycle of alternating conducted and non-conducted atrial beats. Thus there are two P waves per QRS complex.

There is a normal and constant PR interval in the conducted beats.

This disorder may herald complete, i.e. third degree, heart block.
