Other possible causes of enteropathy include:
- infective gastroenteritis
- bacterial overgrowth
- lactose intolerance
- soya protein intolerance
- small bowel lymphoma
- Crohn's disease
- giardiasis
- Zollinger-Ellison syndrome - very rare
- drugs, e.g. antimitotics, NSAIDs
- immune-deficient enteropathy, e.g. HIV or hypogammaglobulinaemia (1)
