Fanconi's anaemia
Fanconi's anaemia is a rare autosomal recessive disease characterised by:
- bone marrow failure
- developmental abnormalities
- cancer susceptibility
The disease is usually fatal with an life expectancy of 16 years.
There is a defect in a novel DNA repair pathway.
