Initial phase of treatment for active TB

The initial phase of treatment for tuberculosis consists of quadruple therapy for 2 months:
- rifampicin
- isoniazid (with pyridoxine)
- pyrazinamide
- ethambutol
In some circumstances streptomycin may be used during the initial phase.
