Anxiety is a common cause of nausea and vomiting. Motion, cough, sight and smell can also trigger nausea & vomiting in those susceptible.

Seek expert advice.

  • Cyclizine - first line
    • stat dose 50mg oral/s.c.
    • total dose 100-150mg oral/s.c. over 24 hours

  • second line agents include hyoscine hydrobromide

For cough:

  • Codeine Linctus 15mg/5ml tds or as needed may be helpful
