Le test immunochimique fécal (TIF) est utilisé pour détecter les traces de sang dans les selles causées par des saignements dans le tractus gastro-intestinal inférieur.

  • un taux élevé peut être un marqueur du cancer colorectal (CRC) et est recommandé dans la prise en charge des patients présentant des symptômes du tractus gastro-intestinal inférieur afin d'identifier les personnes à référer pour des examens urgents
  • pour simplifier, un résultat de fHb (hémoglobine fécale) >= 10 ug/g est considéré comme un "FIT positif" et un résultat de fHb <10 ug/g comme "négatif"
