Epidemiology
Madelung's Deformity tends to occur in females more than males. Both forearms tend to be affected. Frequently, it is sporadic in nature but there are inheritable forms:
- familial, autosomal dominant with variable penetrance
- associated with syndromes:
- Leri-Weill Syndrome
- Turner's Syndrome
- achondroplasia
- nail-patella syndrome
