This occurs after gastrectomy and was previously classified as a Type 3 gastritis.

Endoscopic appearance is generally of diffuse erythema throughout the gastric remnant.

Management of this condition has involved the use of various treatments including bile-acid binding agents and sucralfate. If there is troublesome bilious vomiting then a Roux-on-Y construction is occasionally performed.
