Post-resuscitation care
Post resuscitation care has the following aims:
- full consciousness
- neurologically intact
- spontaneous respiration
- stable cardiac rhythm
- adequate urine output
Favourable indicators include:
- witnessed arrest
- ventricular fibrillation
- successfully converted in 2 to 3 minutes
- if longer, CPR effective and continuous
