The clinical features of anterior inferior cerebellar artery stroke are dependent on region affected:

Cerebellar features:

  • ipsilateral limb ataxia

Brainstem features:

  • ipsilateral Horner's syndrome
  • ipsilateral sensory loss - pain and temperature to the face - cranial V
  • ipsilateral facial weakness and paralysis of lateral gaze - cranial VII
  • contralateral sensory loss - pain and temperature of limbs and trunk - spinothalamic tract
