Prognosis
The 5 year survival rate with chondrosarcoma is about 35%.
There is an increased incidence of malignancy, and hence a poorer prognosis with:
- axial skeleton primaries as opposed to small bones
- increasing size
- multiple cartilaginous tumour syndrome
- earlier age of onset
