Clear cell ovarian tumour

These are uncommon, accounting for 5 - 11% of primary ovarian tumours. They are bilateral in about 5% of cases.

Histologically, they resemble tumours of mesonephroid origin. About 25% of cases occur in association with endometriosis and they may be associated with hypercalcaemia.
