Osteosclerotic myeloma
Osteosclerotic myeloma accounts for 3% of patients with myeloma. There is commonly an associated polyneuropathy which may form part of the POEMS syndrome.
Often there is a single plasmacytoma which secretes the paraprotein. Treatment consists of surgical removal of the tumour or radiotherapy.
