Treatment of ocular toxoplasmosis

Although there is no evidence indicating which is preferable, an acute deterioration of active ocular toxoplasmosis can be treated with:

  • clindamycin 300mg qds PO
  • and pyrimethamine 25mg od PO
  • and folinic acid supplementation

Treatment should be continued for at least 10 days after inflammation resolves.
