Neuropathy induced by antiviral nucleoside analogues
Peripheral neuropathy is not a feature of zidovudine but is seen in patients taking zalcitabine (ddC) and stavudine (D4T).
The peripheral neuropathy is characterised by:
- paraesthesiae
- areflexia
- mild sensory loss
- mild weakness
