Congenital microcolon
Congenital microcolon is often left sided, and is often associated with maternal diabetes in pregnancy.
It is said to be a transient delay in development.
Other associations include:
- cystic fibrosis, in association with meconium ileus
- ileal atresia
- Hirschprung's disease
