Types
There are several types of congenital diaphragmatic hernia:
- hernia through the foramen of Morgagni, typically on the right
- hernia through the foramen of Bochdalek, typically on the left
- hernia through a deficiency within the whole central tendon
- hernia through a congenitally large oesophageal hiatus
