Papillary carcinoma

Authoring team

Papillary carcinoma of the breast is a form of invasive ductal carcinoma. Histologically, in situ and invasive forms are recognised; both show frond-like growth.

The invasive form accounts for 1-2% of all breast cancers. Generally, it is associated with a good prognosis.
