The right anterior superior lymph nodes are a group of 3-4 nodes sited on the lateral surface of the right side of the heart. The group are interconnected by fine lymphatic vessels and pass inferiorly along a line that is close to the route taken by the right phrenic nerve.
The most superior node is lateral to the brachiocephalic trunk. The most inferior node is lateral to the right atrium.
The group is connected by lymph vessels to the other anterior superior mediastinal nodes.
