NSAIDS and diuretics

  • if possible, NSAIDs should not be administered with diuretics - this is because NSAIDS antagonise the antihypertensive and diuretic affects of the diuretic
  • also co-administration of NSAIDs and diuretics also increases the risk of nephrotoxicity
