Some possible causes of recurrent vertigo to consider are:

  • labyrinthitits/epidemic vertigo with persistent symptoms
  • benign positional vertigo
  • Meniere's disease
  • transient ischaemic attacks
  • migraine
  • multiple sclerosis
  • post-traumatic vertigo
  • chronic middle ear pathology e.g. cholesteatoma
  • acoustic neuroma
