A CT scan is usually diagnostic for medulloblastoma, revealing an isodense midline lesion in the cerebellum compressing and displacing the fourth ventricle. There is marked contrast enhancement.
Higher CT scans may reveal hydrocephalus with possible CSF tumour seedings in the ventricles.
MRI may also be used.
Angiography may be indicated to identify the nature of the tumour.
