The following malignant diseases have been treated with interferons. Those indications which have FDA approval (as of Jan. 1996) are marked with an asterisk:

  • hairy cell leukaemia *
  • Kaposi's sarcoma in AIDS *
  • chronic myelocytic leukaemia
  • lymphomas
  • multiple myeloma
  • solid tumours:
    • malignant melanoma
    • renal cell carcinoma
    • bladder carcinoma
    • basal cell carcinoma
    • actinic keratoses
    • ovarian carcinoma
